A Message from Mrs. Tarasiuk and Mrs. Sosin 1/26/18

It is hard to believe that it is already the end of January!  We are looking forward to seeing you at our student-led conferences in February, where our students can share their progress toward their goals. Conference and report card times are not the only times we reflect on our successes.  Our students utilize data folders each day as they travel to their acceleration classes.  This allows teachers to be able to monitor progress, give specific feedback, and allow for the best possible instruction based on our students’ ever-changing needs.  It is great to hear both teachers and students celebrate students’ successes.  A conference time reminder will be coming home soon!

Food Drive
Einstein gives a hoot about our community! Please join us in the spirit of giving to our food pantry as well as Spirit Week.  Monday will be crazy hair day and bring in a toiletry item.  Please see the attached to see the remainder of the week! Can’t wait to see all of the creativity each day! Food Drive Flyer 2018.docx

District 54 Multicultural Event 2018:  Performance Information and Interest Form
Each year the Department of Language and Culture, along with the Schaumburg Park District, presents a Multicultural Event.  This event takes place at the Community Recreation Center and showcases the diversity represented by the students of District 54.

Preparations are already under way for this year’s event, which will take place on Saturday, April 14. We look forward to seeing many of the cultures in District 54 represented and are looking for students, or groups of students, who would like to perform.

If your child is interested in performing, please visit the Department of Language and Culture homepage for details and complete the Performance Interest Form by February 9.  If you are unable to complete the electronic form, paper forms can be picked up in your school office.
