A Message From Mrs. Tarasiuk and Mrs. Sosin – November 25th

Dear Einstein,

We are extremely grateful for our students and families we are able to work with each and every day. Thank you for your unconditional support.  We wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with your family and friends.

Our Shoe Drive is still going strong –  we are at 1,260 pairs of shoes and our goal is to reach 2,500 pairs by winter break.  We know we can do it and are ready to accept as many pairs as possible after the long Thanksgiving break.  Thank you so much for your ongoing support.

Just a reminder: There will be no TAP, orchestra or clubs tomorrow, 11.26.19.

Windy City Bulls District 54 Takeover Night – January 10, 2020

  • The Windy City Bulls will host a District 54 takeover night on Friday, January 10 at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, and a portion of the proceeds from each ticket purchased will be donated back to the District 54 Education Foundation.

  • The District 54 take-over night will feature District 54 students participating in performances and other on-court experiences before and throughout the game, and a District 54 Special Olympics basketball match at halftime.

Performers needed for Multicultural Event 2020
Each year the District 54 Department of Language and Culture, along with the Schaumburg Park District, presents Multicultural Event showcasing the diversity represented by students in District 54.  They are looking for groups and individuals who are interested in performing at this year’s event on Saturday, March 7.  Applications for performances will be accepted from November 14-26.  An informational meeting will be held at 3:30 on Tuesday, November 12 at the Rafferty Administration Center, 524 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg, for those who would like to apply early. Click here to access the application. Se necesitan actos para el Evento Multicultural 2020
Cada año, el Departamento de Lenguaje y Cultura, junto con el Distrito de Parques de Schaumburg, presenta un evento multicultural que muestra la diversidad representada por los estudiantes del Distrito 54. Estamos buscando estudiantes que deseen participar en un acto grupal o individual durante el evento multicultural, pautado para el Sábado 7 de marzo de 2020.  Las solicitudes para participar serán aceptadas entre el 14 al 26 de noviembre. Una reunión informativa se llevará a cabo el martes 12 de noviembre  a las 3:30 en el Centro de Administración Rafferty para aquellos ser los primeros en someter sus aplicaciones. Schaumburg Parent University – December classes
​​​​​​​Schaumburg Parent University (SPU) is designed to involve more parents in the life of the school, to strengthen family relationships, and to improve parenting skills that will ultimately result in improved student success academically, socially and emotionally. There are two evening programs scheduled for December. Please note that child care is always available.

Mad Isn’t Bad – December 5
Anger can interfere with your child’s academic performance. Dr. Felix Casados, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, will help you develop management skills, learn reduction techniques and rules for fair fighting. You will also learn strategies to reduce tension at home and at school and how to diffuse conflict and reduce anger expression in your children. This class will take place from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 at the District 54 Early Learning Center’s Multi-Purpose Room, 520 E. Schaumburg Road, Schaumburg. Adults only. Mad Isn’t Bad flyer

Family Caroling – December 10
Join other District 54 families in caroling around the Lakeview School neighborhood and enjoying hot chocolate afterward. This activity, led by Lakeview music teacher Kelsey Richardson, will take place from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Meet at Lakeview, 615 Lakeview Lane, Hoffman Estates. Family Caroling flyer
