|Dear Einstein Owls,
It has been so great seeing our students participate in our 10 Days of Gratitude! The notes and emails which were received on Monday were so thoughtful and heartwarming. Thank you!
Monday is the start of our “Owliday Week”! Please join us Monday at 9am for our All School Assembly. Your child(ren) will be sent a ZOOM link on Monday morning from their classroom teacher. If you have multiple children that attend Einstein, please have them join the assembly using one link on one computer. We are grateful to have the opportunity to connect with you and your families.
We have mailed home our 10 Days of Gratitude and our Owliday Week calendars. Please contact our office at 630.736.2500 if you are in need of a copy.

Optimistic Household Series: Module 5 Release
Your mindset plays a critical role in how you cope with life’s challenges. A growth mindset can contribute to greater achievement, increased effort and greater resilience. Parents can also take steps to ensure that their children develop growth mindsets. The fifth Optimistic Household module, Uncovering Possibilities with a Growth Mindset, is now available for you to access with your family here: Optimistic Household homepage. You can also view the first four modules. Don’t forget to share your family’s experiences with us on social media with #OptimisticHousehold and #54Happiness or by sending photos and videos to [email protected].
New D54 Wellness Website
The year 2020 has been a difficult time for so many people. Throughout this year one thing that hasn’t changed is District 54’s commitment to the well-being of our community. This week we are launching a new online District 54 Wellness Space. This website includes videos, resources and links to valuable activities for students, for families and for staff. For example, the student pages include energizing videos and calming videos, read-alouds of books about feelings, and links to help children manage their emotions. The pages for adults include mental health webinars, COVID-related resources and links to support provided by District 54. We hope you will take the time to explore this self-care website and engage with the resources that best support your needs.
District 211 Weekly Food Bag Distribution
Arrangements have been made for District 54 students that qualify for free lunch to have access to weekly food bags from District 211. Every Thursday, our families can report to any District 211 High School between 4:00-5:00 p.m. for curbside pickup of five days of breakfast and lunch meals. Families simply select the high school closest to them and drive through. We hope that this takes a little extra pressure off your family during this time.
