This past Friday we shared that we will be testing 2^nd through 6^th grade students using the NWEA MAP assessment tool.  We wanted to provide additional details in regards to logistics. The week of February 1, this computer-based assessment will be administered to all students in those grade levels. Testing for these students will take place in-person at Einstein School. Please note, all students will be given one day of asynchronous activities on the day they are not testing to support learning.    

Fully remote students will be invited to come into the building to complete the MAP test. If you have more than one child at Einstein, we have arranged to have all of your children test on the same day.  Your child’s specific testing day will be sent out in the U.S. mail on January 15. In this communication, you will receive the following information:

• Specific testing date
• Notifying your child’s teacher if your child will be attending on their assigned testing date by January 25th.
• Arrival and dismissal times/procedures to allow for social distancing
• Symptom Screener (to be filled out prior to arriving to school)
• Materials your child will need to bring on testing day
• Lunch reminders

Additional Important Details on the Winter MAP Assessment:

• Students will test in group sizes of 10 or less with a minimum of 6 feet of social distance.
• Masks will be required.
• Parents or caregivers of remote only students will be responsible for transporting students to and from school on their testing day/time.
• Students will complete both the literacy and math MAP test on the same day.

All students currently enrolled in the hybrid model will test during a regularly scheduled attendance day. We will have two testing days, one for students attending on Mondays/Thursdays (Group A) and a second day for students attending on Tuesdays/Fridays (Group B). Your child will complete the reading test in the morning and the math test in the afternoon.

Evaluación de invierno NWEA MAP
El viernes pasado compartimos que evaluaremos a los estudiantes de 2º a 6º grado usando la herramienta de evaluación NWEA MAP. Queríamos proporcionar detalles adicionales con respecto a la logística. La semana del 1 de febrero, esta evaluación por computadora se administrará a todos los estudiantes en esos niveles de grado. Las pruebas para estos estudiantes se llevarán a cabo en persona en la Escuela Einstein. Tenga en cuenta que a todos los estudiantes se les dará un día de actividades asincrónicas el día en que no estén evaluando para apoyar el aprendizaje.

Se invitará a los estudiantes que estudian virtualmente a entrar al edificio para completar la prueba MAP. Si tiene más de un hijo en Einstein, hemos acordado que todos sus hijos realicen la prueba el mismo día. El día de la prueba específica de su hijo se enviará por correo el 15 de enero. Detalles importantes adicionales sobre la evaluación MAP de invierno:

Los estudiantes tomarán la prueba en grupos de 10 o menos con un mínimo de 6 pies de distancia social.

Se requerirán máscaras.

Los padres o cuidadores de estudiantes remotos serán responsables de transportar a los estudiantes hacia y desde la escuela el día / hora de la prueba.

Los estudiantes completarán la prueba MAP de alfabetización y matemáticas el mismo día.

Todos los estudiantes actualmente inscritos en el modelo híbrido tomarán la prueba durante un día de asistencia programado regularmente. Tendremos dos días de evaluación, uno para los estudiantes que asisten los lunes / jueves (Grupo A) y un segundo día para los estudiantes que asisten los martes / viernes (Grupo B). Su hijo completará la prueba de lectura por la mañana y la prueba de matemáticas por la tarde.
