Students dressed up as ghosts with sunglasses on playground

On Wednesday, October 28th, we will be celebrating Halloween with our annual costume parade. This will allow students to already be dressed and ready to return for Trunk or Treat at 3:15. Students will change into their costumes after lunch.

On Friday, October 30th, we will have an all school pajama day and engage in fall festivities in our classrooms.

In order to ensure the safety of all our students, we will be using the following guidelines for our school celebration.

In choosing an appropriate costume for your child, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • No costumes depicting violence (no fake blood)

  • No weapons or “look-alikes” of any kind (toy guns, plastic swords, etc.)

  • Keep make-up to a minimum (there is only a short time given to students to get into costumes, so save the best for trick-or-treating)

  • Be certain that your child can see through his/her mask

  • Students will have minimal support for putting on their own costumes after lunch.

Our Halloween parade will begin at 1:45 PM. The parade will begin out door 14, circle around to the park and around the school before heading back inside. Family members can stand anywhere along the parade route to take pictures, while the students parade around the perimeter. The parking lot will be closed.

Due to various allergies present in our classrooms, we will once again require that you refrain from sending any edible treats to school for your child to pass out to his/her classmates. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and we hope all our students have a fun and safe Halloween this year!
