Get ready to Duck, Duck, Donate! 🦆 Starting Monday, September 21st, we’re asking students to bring in brand-new bars of soap (or body wash) to help stock our school pantry and support our local community. How it Works: 🫧 Earn Ducks: Classrooms will earn rubber ducks based on the soap and cash donations they collect! 🫧The Big Race: If we collect 2,000 bars as a school, those ducks will compete in an exciting race hosted by the Hanover Park Fire Department on Friday, October 2nd! 🫧No Soap? No Problem! Cash donations also support our pantry and help your child’s class earn ducks. You can send cash in a labeled envelope to your child’s classroom teacher. Thank you for your generosity and support in making our soap drive a splashing success! 🧼

Kindergarten mathematicians were hard at work rolling a die and finding the matching number on their game board! 🎲

Miss Gomez’s group is getting to know each other, one special item at a time! Students brought in something that represents who they are and shared its importance with the group. Along the way, they discovered shared interests, asked questions, and learned something new about one another! ❤️

Our students and staff had an awesome #54FirstDay! We loved welcoming our 1st–6th graders, and can’t wait to welcome our kindergarten Owls to the nest on August 24th! 🦉

As we get ready to welcome students back to school, we want to remind you that electric bikes, scooters and skateboards are not permitted on District 54 property. We do not allow these devices at school due to safety concerns including the potential for accidents and the possibility of fire. In District 54 this applies to students, as well as to family members and friends who may be picking up or dropping off students at school. Our local villages also have ordinances related to e-bikes, scooters and skateboards and police have notified the school district that they intend to enforce them. You can connect with your village or police department for more information about their ordinances.

Our Back to School Event is still starting at 3:30 PM inside the school building as planned. Due to the weather, we will NOT be walking from Pembroke Park to the school. Please come directly to the school at 3:30 PM. We look forward to seeing you! ❤️🦉

Event Schedule:
📍 2:45 p.m. – Student only drop-off at Pembroke Park (2410 W. Weathersfield Way, Schaumburg, IL 60193)
🚓 3:00 p.m. – Students and staff will be escorted by the Hanover Park Police and Fire Departments as we walk together to Einstein.
👨‍👩‍👧 Kindergarten Families: Please have a parent or older sibling stay and walk with your kindergarten student.
🎒 After Pembroke Park Drop-Off: Parents should drive to Einstein with their child's school supplies. Students will meet their families on the back blacktop.
🏫 3:30 p.m. – Back-to-School Night presentations begin.
📚 4:00–5:00 p.m. – Families with siblings may visit classrooms and drop off school supplies.

We are so proud of our Math Olympiad students! 🧠✨ These dedicated 4th–6th graders met bi-weekly after school to tackle challenging math problems and competed in five national Math Olympiad competitions throughout the year. Their hard work truly paid off - five students finished in the top 50% nationally, and one student placed in the top 25%! Congratulations to all of our Math Olympiad participants for their perseverance, problem-solving, and commitment to learning. Einstein is proud of you! 🦉📐
