Classroom Assignments

Wednesday, August 6th Grades 1-6 Class Placements Posted; Kindergarteners will be posted after screening in Parent Portal.

The Einstein  staff has worked diligently to place every child in an environment which best suits learning needs; therefore, placement change requests respectfully will not be honored. We do ask that parents/guardians do not call the office to inquire about classroom placement changes.  Although each grade level of  students are split across three to four classroom sections they still have many opportunities to be with other classmates during the week.

For additional support with logging in to the Parent Portal, kindly contact the District 54 portal support desk at [email protected].  Support is available from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you leave a message, you will receive a response during those business hours. Link to Parent Portal

Parent Portal Directions

Please enter the portal through the web or on your mobile device. You will want to navigate to More->Student Reports.
From there you will be presented with a screen to select a child and then select the 25-26 Student Schedule Report.

Families with outstanding registration paperwork are invited to come to Einstein prior to the first day of school to complete these required steps. Families who have not proven residency will not be able to generate the report or when they view the report.  Instead you will get information that says “please contact your front office and prove residency in order to view the complete report.”

Physical Exam

Students of any age transferring from a school outside Illinois must also have had a physical within the last year. School Physical Form (Spanish Physical Form) Click here for a list of clinics that offer physicals and immunizations.

Busing

If your child is eligible for busing, the District 54 Transportation Department will mail your child’s bus pass to your home before school begins. If your child rides the bus to and from school, please note the following procedures:

  • All students riding the bus are required to show their bus pass upon boarding. A replacement can be obtained in the main office if a student loses their bus pass.

Electric Bikes, Scooters, and Skateboards

Electric bikes, scooters and skateboards are NOT permitted on District 54 property, due to safety concerns including the potential for accidents and the possibility of fire associated with such devices. This applies to students, as well as to family members and friends who may be picking up or dropping off students at school.

District 54 Virtual Backpack

District 54 shares information about community events with our students and families through our Virtual Backpack. We know that parents are interested in extracurricular activities. At the same time, we don’t want the homework, letters from the teachers, school news and other important district information to get lost among the countless other pieces of paper in our students’ backpacks. Please click the link for additional information: https://sd54.org/virtualbackpack/

No Food Deliveries Allowed

With a focus on student and staff safety, District 54 will not allow food delivery services to our schools. We will continue to have hot lunch days, which are planned events, organized and supervised by school or PTA volunteers. Please note that if you need to drop off a lunch, baskets will be available outside of the main door. All baskets will be picked up at the designated lunch times.
